I found this piece very interesting. The idea, the style and the shape of the wolf are wonderful.
To chose the opposite color: black/white suits the theme: a lone wolf in an empty blank page.
The only thing that I do not like about it, it's the position of the wolf in this white world. To put your character face the wall of your picture just stop the idea of movement. I would find it better to see him on the right side of your piece.
The global idea is great and original but you could make it even more original by adding his shadow. A really large shadow from right to left will emphasise the idea of loneliness and space.
